Storage Duration of Content in AISSIST

To give you a quick overview of how long your content is retained, the most important use cases are summarised here.

Documents & Vector Databases

Document Chat:
Uploaded documents (PDF) are deleted immediately after processing.
The vector database created in the process is retained for as long as the user's session exists.
When the session is deleted, the vector database is also deleted.
Document Flow:
Uploaded documents (PDF) are deleted immediately after processing.
The files are sent to the API for processing and deleted directly in AISSIST.
Translate:
Uploaded documents (PDF, DOCX, DOC, PPTX, XLSX) are deleted immediately after processing.
The generated documents are retained for 7 days. After that they are deleted and removed from the use case area.
Transcribe:
Uploaded files (audio or video) are deleted immediately after processing.
The files are sent to the API for processing and deleted directly in AISSIST.
Chat: Uploaded files (images or documents) are retained for as long as the user's session exists.
They are deleted when the session is deleted.
Agents (in Agent Manager):
Uploaded documents (PDF) are retained for as long as the agent exists.
They are deleted when the agent is deleted.

Generate Image:
Generated images are retained for 14 days.
After that, the images are deleted and replaced by a placeholder in the frontend.
Edit Image:
Generated images are retained for 14 days.
After that, the images are deleted and replaced by a placeholder in the frontend.
Edit Image – Reference Images:
Uploaded reference images are retained for 24 hours.
After that, they are deleted and removed from the reference image area.

Depending on the use case, uploaded or generated content may contain personal data, for example:

Edit Image: particularly in uploaded reference images if persons are depicted
Transcribe: in audio or video files
Translate, Document Chat Chat and Agents: in uploaded documents
Generate Image and Edit Image: possibly also in generated image content
