AISSIST Plug-In for InCopy & InDesign

1. Overview

The AISSIST Plug-in is a software extension that enables seamless integration between K4 and the AISSIST platform.

2. Starting the Plug-in

1. Make sure an active connection to K4 exists.
2. Start the plug-in via the menu path:
   Window → Extensions → AISSIST
3. The plug-in opens in a separate window.
4. Authentication for the AISSIST platform is automatically started in the default browser.
   After successful login, the browser window can be closed.

3. Running a Text Check

• Click into a text box in the document.
  The content of this text box is displayed in the plug-in.
• To start the check, click the "Check" button in the upper right.
• The check runs; detected errors are marked in the text using different colours to distinguish between error types.

The lower area of the plug-in displays:

• Correction suggestions
• the error type
• a possible cause of the error

You can go through the corrections in two ways:

• by clicking on the respective error marking in the list
• using the arrow keys at the bottom right to navigate through the errors one by one

4. Extended Corrections (Meticulous Mode)

The "Meticulous Mode" setting (bottom right) provides additional correction suggestions, particularly for:

• Style
• linguistic phrasing
• further text optimisations

5. Language Settings and Additional Options

The plug-in supports the languages German and English.

Via the menu in the upper right, you can additionally configure the following settings:

• Spell-check mode
  Defines which type of spelling and grammar checks are performed.
• Jump to text position
  Jumps directly to the corresponding position in the text in K4 where the selected error occurs.
